Studio Riven is a London based professional and creative design company specialising in layout and book design, print design and web design.

We have experience designing the internal layout of books, covers and promotional material. We have worked on a wide variety of books including novels, dictionaries, non-fiction and educational books, to poetry books and children's books.

A well designed book is more than it's cover. The interior layout of a books is just as important. A well designed layout is all about communicating a message through various images and texts in a certain way that ensures the statement and feeling of the book is clear and effective. Good design should make the reading experience an enjoyable one. At Studio Riven we always design with the reader mind. We consider all projects large or small.
We work closely with each client. Once the client has briefed us or provided us with a manuscript we will discuss your needs, reasearch and create layouts and provide you with the finished designs. We can supply finished files as PDFs, in the originating file format or to your printer's specifications. We can take care of the entire pre-press - from composition, to adjustments and corrections, retouching photos to the cover design.
Manuscripts/text should be supplied in packages like Word or in highly-coded formats including XML. Images, graphs or tables should be supplied as separate files. Photograhs or images should be supplied as high resoultion images in suitable file formats.
We have no set fee because each job is different. We are happy to negotiate for those on smaller budgets. Prices are calculated on a per-page basis or an hourly-rate, whichever is preferred. Prices include typesetting, design of opening pages, chapter heads, interior elements and two to three rounds of corrections or revisions.
